The story
From the businessWest 52 BBQ is a family-friendly barbeque restaurant located at 805 West Jefferson Street in Shorewood, Illinois. Owner Troy Johnson has been smoking meat for over 50 years, learning the method from his grandfather. He later served as a cook in the Marine Corps for six years. Before opening West 52 BBQ, Troy previously owned Country Blaze in Channahon and also operated a restaurant in Morris. He changed the name to West 52 BBQ to reflect its location and specialty. Popular dishes include chicken nuggets and ribs.
