On the northside in your area: 1.) Smoque BBQ St Louis Cut 2.) L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge 3.) Twin Anchors Restaurant & Tavern (another really good spot, but I think out of your travel range). 4.) Portillo's/Hubs/Dengeos or whatever greasy spoon gyro place nearby will probably have boiled+char broil finished ribs (great taste and much more affordable than 1-3). Smoque is the best, one of my favorite restaurants. I've had the highest rated BBQ in multiple southern BBQ "meccas" and Smoque was as good if not better than all of them, though I still haven't been to Texas, which will probably be the best. I'm planning on making a Smoque order tonight for the Succession + Barry series finales, probably a fatty brisket sandwich and maybe ribs/sausage depending on how gluttonous I'm fe

Have you been to [L Woods Tap & Pine Lodge](https://www.lwoodsrestaurant.com/) in Lincolnwood? It's old school supper club awesome. Seeing you're from Mayfair (I'm in Albany Park), Lincolnwood is super convenient for us. My wife and I go up there quite a bit. Tons of great stuff up there.
