Best burger/grill type catering?

Vegetarian here throwing a summer party for a small crowd. I’m envisioning a grilling style menu (with meat) but don’t want to grill myself as we will have limited space and lots of small people creeping around. So, any recommendations for north side grill caterers? Looking into bub city and kumas, but wondering if others exist. Since I don’t eat meat, I’m not sure what’s good. TIA!

Traditional Country Music Spots

Looking for some bars I can hear traditional country music, not a place like Bub City. I know Carol’s and Fitzgeralds in Berwyn are an alright time, and Rose’s on Lincoln has a Waylon Jennings CD in their jukebox. City or suburbs, north or south, I don’t care. I just don’t want to have to listen to shit.

My favorite pastrami in Chicago

I wasn't expecting to put together a list of the best pastrami in Chicago. I just kind of stumbled into it. While hunting for the best barbecue in the city, I noticed that a number of places also served pastrami. Barbecue joints already have smokers, so they just have to brine the beef and smoke it to make the dish. But I wasn't expecting them to be so well executed. That said, there are still some classic Jewish delis that are doing a great job. I was also impressed by a number of restaurants taking the time to make it from scratch. But I did encounter a lot of dry and boring pastrami along the way. Chicago's never been much of a pastrami town, since corned beef is more popular here. Fortunately, it really does feel like that's changing. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer

As others have mentioned, Joe’s is an excellent option- especially if you go during their happy hour. Of note would be Bub City, as their burger is phenomenal (it is made from the scraps from other, higher-end Lettuce restaurants)

Lettuce Entertain You restaurants are some of the easiest to work with for group dining. Probably won’t be able to at a place like RPM but maybe Ramen-San or Bub City- they have been super willing to work with you in my visit.

Spent Five Days in Your Wonderful City and Wanted to Share Some of My visit

Did a seven-day midwest trip that included four days in Chicago then to Green Bay for two days for the Green Bay Packers v Patriots game at Lambeau and then a day in Milwaukee. I absolutely fell in love with Chicago during my time there. We packed in a lot of attractions while there. Still plenty left to search on a return trip though. Feel free to leave any comments of must-dos on our next excursion. I used to work in the area and frequent Gene and Jude's for hot dogs and fries. As far as BBQ, I went to Bub City for dinner in the Rosemont mall area and enjoyed the platter. For pizza, Little Angelo's Pizza is decent although the pizza is very greasy. Carlucci's is where we normally hang out after work and they have amazing pasta. Short Fuse Brewing Company has great bar food and beer. I also like Cilantro's for tacos and tortas. I go to Mariachi's Tacos for their big ass burritos almost every weekend. If you like Mediterranean food, Sultan's on Cumberland Ave has great lunch specials. Rosemont has decent food options imo. I use Trip Advisor to check out places to eat. I agree that Lettuce Entertain You restaurants over promise and under deliver, either on food taste and quality, or food quantity, or value for the dollar. Even though many people on this subreddit are young, Lettuce Entertain You is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and many older Chicagoans clearly remember the new concepts and high quality food from Day One and the early years. They still associate the group's restaurants with delicious food and different experiences, and the restaurants earned a lot of enthusiastic patrons. Now, there are notable Lettuce places that still get top reviews even though their food has become so ordinary. Wildfire is disappointing straight through from the bread to the apps through the entrees to the desserts. Bub City also a disappoint

My favorite nachos in Chicago
