Try a local BBQ place. BBQ holds well and dishes like pulled pork and brisket are easy to serve. They also go well with reasonably priced sides. We're hosting an outdoor low-priced reception for our nephew in August (married last weekend out of state), probably going with BBQd Productions or Big Ed's. We'll pick up the food, a friend will supervise serving and tend a wine and beer bar, and we'll hire a couple high school kids with restaurant visit to run food and do basic table busing.
